A well-rounded and accomplished self-starter; Ran for the Oklahoma State Legislature at the age of twenty-one as the youngest candidate in the state; Raised by a single mother on public assistance to become the first in his family to finish college – eventually going on to graduate from a top-tier public university with a Juris Doctor and Master of Business Administration specializing in Entrepreneurship; Served as an airborne paratrooper in Alaska and completed two combat tours in Afghanistan and Kuwait, taking on progressively increasing levels of responsibility and ultimately serving as a Headquarters Platoon Sergeant; Admitted to the Oklahoma Bar Association as a licensed attorney upon his return, starting his own private firm specializing in open records law; Selected as a Presidential Management Fellow, taking a program management position with the Small Business Administration and starting Stanford University’s Advanced Project Management Program; Worked on various document review projects and put together bids / proposals for small businesses as an attorney and consultant in the Washington DC area; Served as a Senior Consultant (Policy Analyst) supporting the Office of Small Business Programs at the U.S. Department of Defense and earned PMI's Project Manager Professional (PMP) Certification; and Founded the Fidelis Law Group, a firm specializing in complex litigation (product liability class action torts).
